NWO grant for prof.dr. Linda Steg

February 6, 2014 - Prof.dr. Linda Steg and dr. Ellen van der Werff (University of Groningen) received a grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) in the program Uncertainty Reduction in Smart Energy Systems (URSES).

The objective of this program is to contribute to the reduction of uncertainty for actors in the energy chain by developing the science and tools that are needed for smart energy systems.

Realizing the smart grid: aligning consumer behaviour with technological opportunities

This project aims to examine which individual factors predict, explain, and influence consumer adoption and use of smart energy technologies that will result in a reduction of uncertainty in smart energy systems. The project is conducted by a multidisciplinary team of psychologists (University of Groningen) and innovations scientists (Utrecht University). The project is funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
