NWO Research Talent grant for dr. Hans IJzerman

July 29, 2014 - Dr. Hans IJzerman (Tilburg University) received an NWO Research Talent grant for a research project on Primary Interpersonal Emotion Regulation (PIER), with prof.dr. Jaap Denissen (Tilburg University), candidate: Marjolein Missler, MSc.

This project will focus on how nonconscious social emotion regulation mechanisms like skin-warming and oxytocin secretion underlie parents' soothing towards their child. Specifically, we will develop cost-effective, theoretically based warm touch interventions for parents during their child's early life.
